Complete Web3 platform development delivering 35% growth in active users, 50% increase in ticket trading activity, and seamless offline event entry.
TicketSesh emerged with an ambitious vision: to revolutionise the live events industry through Web3 technology. Their platform aimed to solve persistent problems that have plagued event organisers and attendees for years — ticket scalping, bot purchases, lack of transparency in secondary markets, and limited tools for marketing optimisation. By leveraging NFT-based ticketing, they could create verifiable, tradeable tickets whilst giving organisers unprecedented control and analytics.
However, building a Web3 events platform presented unique challenges beyond typical marketplace development. The platform needed to support both primary and secondary ticket markets, implement sophisticated anti-scalping and bot prevention measures, provide real-time marketing analytics for organisers, and create a loyalty rewards system that incentivised genuine engagement. Additionally, they needed a mobile scanning application for event entry that could function reliably even in venues with poor or non-existent internet connectivity — a common reality at large-scale events.
The technical complexity was significant: blockchain integration for NFT tickets, high-traffic handling during ticket drops, offline-capable mobile validation, data synchronisation across distributed systems, and intuitive user experience despite the underlying Web3 complexity. Many users would be new to NFTs and blockchain technology, so the platform had to feel familiar and trustworthy whilst introducing innovative features.
TicketSesh needed a development partner who could navigate both Web3 technology and real-world event logistics, creating a product that worked flawlessly whether users had perfect connectivity or were standing in a field with no signal.
We developed the complete TicketSesh ecosystem from concept to launch, including the web platform, mobile trading app, and critical event scanning application. This was a comprehensive build that required strategic product thinking alongside technical execution:
Our approach combined product roadmap development with iterative feature releases, allowing us to launch core functionality quickly whilst continuously enhancing the platform based on real user behaviour and organiser feedback.
Web3 platforms often prioritise technology over user experience, creating products that impress blockchain enthusiasts but confuse mainstream users. TicketSesh demonstrates how Web3 can solve real industry problems whilst remaining accessible to users who don’t care about the underlying technology.
This case study showcases:
The lesson? Web3 technology should be the foundation, not the focus. When blockchain solves genuine problems rather than creating new complexity, users embrace it — even if they don’t fully understand what’s happening under the hood.

Strategic Outcome TicketSesh launched as a complete ecosystem that transformed how events handle ticketing, trading, and entry. By combining Web3 innovation with practical event logistics, we created a platform that delivered value to all stakeholders — organisers gained control and insights, attendees gained flexibility and security, and the industry gained a blueprint for blockchain’s practical application in live events.
Large events frequently occur in locations with limited or non-existent internet connectivity, like outdoor festivals, temporary venues, underground spaces, or simply locations where thousands of simultaneous connections overwhelm available infrastructure. The TicketSesh Scanning App needed to validate tickets reliably regardless of connectivity, as failed validations would create bottlenecks, angry attendees, and security vulnerabilities.
Our Solution: We implemented robust offline functionality by enabling the app to store and validate tickets locally on the device. Event staff could download ticket data before the event, allowing the app to verify QR codes and barcodes without requiring an active internet connection. Once connectivity was re-established, the app automatically synced validation data back to the server, ensuring accurate attendance records without manual intervention. This approach delivered 100% accuracy whilst reducing check-in times by 40%, even during high-traffic events.
Ticket releases for popular events create massive traffic spikes as thousands of users simultaneously attempt to purchase limited inventory. These spikes can crash servers, create poor user experiences, and enable bot attacks. The platform needed to remain stable and responsive during peak demand whilst preventing automated purchasing systems from unfairly acquiring tickets.
Our Solution: We architected the platform on AWS’s scalable infrastructure with auto-scaling capabilities that dynamically allocated resources during traffic spikes. During high-demand ticket drops, the system automatically expanded capacity to handle load, then scaled back down during normal operations to manage costs. We implemented queue systems to manage user flow, bot detection algorithms to identify and block automated purchasing, and rate limiting to prevent abuse. This infrastructure handled even the most demanding releases without crashes or degraded performance.
NFT ticketing offered genuine advantages — verifiable ownership, controlled secondary markets, royalty management — but most event-goers had never used cryptocurrency or blockchain technology. The platform needed to deliver Web3 benefits without forcing users to understand wallets, gas fees, or blockchain transactions. Any friction in the purchase or trading process would drive users back to traditional ticketing platforms.
Our Solution: We designed the user experience to abstract Web3 complexity behind familiar e-commerce patterns. Users could purchase tickets using traditional payment methods whilst we handled blockchain transactions behind the scenes. The NFT aspect became a feature users could engage with if interested (trading, collecting) rather than a requirement for basic functionality. We provided clear visual confirmations and familiar interaction patterns, making the experience feel trustworthy and straightforward. This approach drove 50% increase in ticket trading activity and 25% growth in daily active users — proving that Web3 adoption depends on solving problems, not explaining technology.
